Notes:
Witch Hat Atelier
This a very sweet manga that you should check out if you like detailed art, Miyazaki films, magic and witches, interesting worldbuilding, and productive character dynamics. Again: it's very sweet! You can buy English-language copies through Kodansha USA, and you can also find it in the usual places online.
“Catastrophizing”
Struggling with climate anxiety? You might like reading this story about someone who is also struggling with climate anxiety. Or you might be better off not reading it. I made the mistake of reading it before bed, not realizing what I was getting myself into, and had terrible insomnia that night.
Nonfiction
This month's nonfiction includes: an essay from the Marx-Engels Reader; two articles on indigenous land traditions; and a 1960's magazine article about a serial killer.
